Csaba Palotaï Guitarist

career

Csaba Palotaï, Hungarian musician and composer born in Budapest in 1972, has been living in Paris since 1996. His style is determined by rock, free jazz, blues and folk from Eastern Europe.
At 7 he discovered the accordion, then at 12 the guitar. Later he studied guitar at the Ferenc Liszt Conservatory in Budapest with Gyula Babos, then at the CNSM in Paris in jazz and improvised music class. In his early days he was largely influenced by the Hungarian guitarist Gàbor Gado.

He collaborates on very eclectic projects alongside Thomas De Pourquery, Rémi Sciuto, Fred Pallem, John Zorn, Emily Loizeau, John Parish, Jeff Hallam, Wladimir Anselme, Zsuzsanna Varkonyi, Bertrand Belin. He also composes the music for Gabriella Cserhàti's shows (Hidden Theater).

He sets up and directs several personal projects:
• Guitar solo / but also man orchestra home studio made.
• Grupa Palotaï, garage-jazz.
• The Ground, psychedelic blues with two drums.
• Atlas Crocodile, experimental rock / co-lead with Boris Boublil.
• Trio with Steve Argüelles and Rémi Sciuto
