career
François Thuillier is a member of the new generation of tuba players, he combines his virtuosity with a spirit of musical curiosity and inventiveness offering a wide range of possibilities from jazz and improvised music to symphonic orchestral music.
He began his career in music in Doullens (80), and went on to receive numerous awards at the Conservatoire of music in Amiens, Lille and Roubaix. He then was accepted at the CNSM (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Music) in Paris in 1986 where he studied with F. Lelong. Here he was awarded three first prizes for saxhorn tuba and chamber music. His discography includes some 80 CDs. He plays or has played with Ars Nova, C. Barthélemy,
